Asim Azhar, a popular singer, and Merub Ali, a rising actress, were engaged in a small ceremony with only a handful of guests in attendance.
The famous couple announced their engagement on their respective social media accounts, with announcements that were nearly identical.
Asim Azhar also pleased followers and friends by posting the identical engagement photos and statement on Twitter, as well as on his Facebook page.
Congratulations from their celebrity friends, including Aima Baig, Sajal Aly, Yamna Zaidi, and Ayaz Samoo, have begun to stream in under both of their postings’ comments sections.
There were many rumours and suspicions regarding the couple’s relationship, with some believing they were cousins and others believing they were romantically tied to one another. The two women have lately explained that they are wonderful family friends who have known each other since they were young children.
Sajal Aly, Kubra Khan, Saira Yousuf and Yamna Zaidi were among the cast members of the newly released Sinf-e-Ahan, in which Merub Ali made her acting debut with a role opposite Sajal Ali.
