A close friend of Meghan Markle provided clarification that the Duchess of Sussex will not be making an appearance on a talk show in the United States, as had been previously rumored.
The appearance of the Duchess of Sussex as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is scheduled to take place in December, as revealed by NBC on Monday.
However, the mother-of-unofficial-two’s spokesman, Omid Scobie, turned to Twitter to break the news that she will not be appearing on the show, claiming that “someone at NBC didn’t get the memo.” Scobie’s tweets included the hashtag #someoneatnbcdidntgetthememo.
The information that Meghan, now 41 years old, “will appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in the following month was added to the NBC website on Monday.
Omid posted the following on his social media accounts: “Looks like someone at NBC didn’t get the memo.” Despite an announcement made via a variety of their PR channels, Meghan will not be appearing on The Tonight Show.
An NBC official sent the following statement earlier: “Earlier today, it was incorrectly reported that Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, will be appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on December 7.” The comment was issued after the initial erroneous news.
