Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will receive a prestigious award in the US on December 6. Royal analyst Jennie Bond called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision “brazen.”
Kerry Kennedy, Kerry Kennedy’s daughter and the association’s president, said the couple would be honoured for their “heroic” battle against “institutional racism inside the institution” of monarchy.
Jennie Bond said the couple’s decision to accept the award is “another dig” at the firm and that they “feel Meghan was treated racistly.”
“This public charge is a major jab in the teeth for the Royal Family,” Bond told OK! magazine.
“It’s quite audacious of them to have taken the medal.” I understand there are limited options after receiving an honorary award. Should they have declined it? Or say it’s not appropriate? “It’s hard to say, but overall it’s a sad scenario,” the analyst said.
