Court issued Meesha Shafi’s bailabale arrest warrants in defamation case

A district court in Lahore has denied Meesha Shafi‘s request for a dispensation of presence and issued arrest warrants with the possibility of bond. Whereas, her application was not enough to get any exemption. The court took this action in defamtion case filed by singer Ali Zafar against her.

Moreover, the court granted an exoneration from prosecution to Fariha Ayub request. All of other appeals have rejected and court issued Meesha Shafi’s and other’s bailable arrest warrants on Friday hearing.

Ali Gull, Meesha, Faizan Raza, Haseemuz Zaman and Maham Javaid have called by a bailable warrant of arrest of Rs50,000 for the date set above. A bailable warrant of arrest for Humna Raza has also issued. She will have to brought before the court on February 2 for a hearing.

A hearing on Ali Gull Pir’s application 249-A CrPC (filed on behalf of the learned counsel for the complaint) has set for today.

This petition has adjourned, however, by the clerk of the skilled counsel of the complaint. On the date specified above, the complainant’s application 249-A CrPC and application u/s205 CrpC will present for arguments.
