The upcoming feature film ‘Mustache’ starring Meesha Shafi, Hasan Minhaj and Alicia Silverstone will release soon. Pakistani actress alongwith United States comedian and actress will share screen time in the coming-of-age film.
It has stated that the next film ‘Mustache’ will mostly based on the director’s own life and will release in the near future. The director Imran J. Khan has won several accolades for his short films.
According to reports, the story follows a peculiar young man named Ilyas, who has portrayed by Atharva Verma. He tries to navigate the social order of his new California public school while sporting a moustache that his parents have forbidden him to shave off.
In addition, Rizwan Manji will appear in the film in the character of Hameed as Ilyas’s father. Ilyas’s mother character will play by Meesha Shafi in the film ‘Mustache’. Moreover, Ilyas’s best friend from school Yasmeen will portray by Ayana Manji. For the time being, the specifics of Silverstone and Minhaj’s responsibilities have withheld yet from public view.
On the professional front, Shafi has lauded for her performances in movies like To Strike and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. She also worked in the suspense drama The Reluctant Fundamentalist, which has directed by Mira Nair.
