Actress Meera appealed in the Lahore High Court against decision to recognise the marriage certificate of Meera Atiq-ur-Rehman. The court has sent notifications to the other parties.
A lawyer named Rana Asad Munir Advocate has on hand to represent the petitioner in court. A fake marriage certificate and photographs have alleged in the petition by Atiq. She has denied the opportunity to testify in a free and open courtroom.
According to the petitioner, Atiq-ur-marriage Rehman’s certificate has not ratified by the trial court in line with the law. Additionally, the actress’s original marriage certificate has also not produced in the trial court. Therefore, Meera said that Atiq’s marriage certificate was fake and challenged the decision in High Court
The petition claims that the family court rejected the allegation of marriage rejection based only on images of the claimed wedding event. Sessions Court judgement should overturn and Atiq’s certificate should deem invalid. Whereas, on March 14, the court issued a request for response from the parties.
Furthermore, on May 28, 2018, the family court denied actress Meera’s plea that Atiq’s certificate has ruled fraudulent. Actress Meera has filed an appeal against the verdict of the family court and on January 31, 2022.
