Matthew McConaughey‘s political career has recently been the subject of much discussion. The 51-year-old Dallas Buyers Club star spoke to CNBC about running for governor of Texas and said he is seriously considering it.
“I’m not toying with the idea in any way. I’m actually trying to think about the idea and give it some thought. Personally, I’ve begun a new chapter in my life. “I believe it is in a leadership position,” he explained.
“I’m not sure what that role entails. I’m not sure what category I belong in. We’ve been discussing the “why” of leadership, and I’d argue that we need more good leaders,” he continued.
