PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz appeared to be channeling popular character Halime Sultan from Turkish drama series Diriliş: Ertuğrul on Wednesday at a public rally in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The politician was dressed from head to toe in an understated shade of blue with a headgear that resembled the headgear of Turkish actress Esra Bilgic in Diriliş: Ertuğrul.

Maryam is currently campaigning in the Northern Region ahead of Sunday’s legislative assembly elections. She has addressed public gatherings in various areas and also led a public demonstration from Shigar to Skardu.
Maryam has adopted traditional outfits on the campaign tracks. He recently paired a black and white burgundy shalwar kameez with a traditional Chitrali pakol hat at a public gathering in Skardu.
