Martyred Soldier in Attack on Security forces near Pakistan-Iran Border

In an attack on a patrolling team of security forces in the Panjgur district of Balochistan, a soldier martyred, according to the military’s media wing, announced the incident on Monday.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations, “a group of terrorists launched a cowardly attack against a patrolling party of security forces in the Panjgur area, along the Pakistan-Iran border” (ISPR).

According to the military’s media wing, during the intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Jalil Khan, a resident of Dera Ismail Khan, was killed and became a war martyr.

In a statement, the ISPR stated that “Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute to combat such activities by unfriendly groups that seek to disrupt peace, stability, and prosperity in Balochistan.”

Earlier this month, security personnel in the Balochistan province conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Hoshab district.

On November 13, security forces conducted an operation in the Hoshab area of Balochistan based on intelligence concerning the presence of externally aided terrorists in the Turbat area, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The security forces were “encircled” during the operation, which resulted in an “engagement” that resulted in significant losses for the terrorists, according to the statement.

In the course of the conflict, two troops, Sepoy Ramzan, a native of Sargodha district, and Lance Naik Liaqat Iqbal, a resident of Swabi district, gave their lives while battling heroically, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
