Robbie reproduced the 1960 Barbie Enchanted Evening Fashion Doll look this time. Vivienne Westwood’s custom-made corset pale pink gown with a white-trimmed neckline, a rosette at her hip and a flowing train. Elle reported that the gown had a large off-the-shoulder ruffled collar and white opera-length gloves.
Robbie wore pearl studs and a triple-strand pearl necklace. She had a chic updo. Like the Mattel doll, her makeup was elegant with shimmering eyes and a pink lip.
The Wolf of Wall Street actress and her stylist, Andrew Mukamal, have been bringing different Mattel doll eras to promotional events. The Aussie actress wears Versace-designed reimaginings of the doll’s most iconic appearances.
Ryan Gosling, Robbie’s co-star, wore a pastel green suit, white shirt, and white shoes. Greta Gerwig, the director, came in a shimmering pink gown with a bedazzled handbag and a sparkling necklace.
For the film’s Los Angeles premiere over the weekend, Robbie wore a Schiaparelli Haute Couture strapless gown to honour Solo in the Spotlight Barbie.
