Mardan student got 1100 out of 1100

There has only been one other instance of this in the world, and it happened only in Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, when a female student completed her matriculation test without losing a single mark out of the overall score.

As the results of the grade 10 and 12 exams were released on Tuesday by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan, a female student from a private school won the top place with 1100 out of 1100 points, the highest possible score in the examination.

The BISE Mardan held an event to give prizes to the students who had earned positions in the organisation. They were presented with certificates of appreciation as well as monetary rewards. Qandeel, a female student who placed first in the BISE Mardan examination, is an orphan. Her mother is employed as a teacher at a government-run establishment.

The recent results of the SSC and HSSC exams in KP have come as nothing short of a shock to everyone. It is worth mentioning that such a high proportion of success (almost 99 percent) raises concerns about the quality of the educational boards’ assessment criteria.
