Awami leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), Malik Ubaidullah Kasi in Balochistan, was assassinated on Thursday by police.
According to the Pishin deputy commissioner, Kasi was kidnapped on June 26 from the Kuchlak of Balochistan. After 40 days, his tortured body was discovered along the Saran railway line.
He was a member of the ANP Central Board. The party also protested against his abduction.
For his postmortem investigation, the body was sent to Quetta.
