Malala Yousafzai married Asser in Birmingham on Tuesday, she confirmed on Twitter.
Malala claimed she “honoured a special day” with Asser in a simple nikah ceremony. The activist asks for prayers for her marriage.
“This is a special day in my life. Asser and I married to be life mates. We had a little nikkah ceremony with our relatives in Birmingham. Please pray for us. This journey will be exciting for us all “Malala pent.
Malala also shared four images from the nikkah ceremony with her new husband Asser and her parents Ziauddin and Toor Pekai Yousafzai.
Malala donned a melon-pink gown embroidered with gold. Malin Fezehai, a photographer and visual journalist, captured her nikkah photos.
It was Ziauddin’s daughter’s special day.
