Amazon is releasing a new interface for its Kindle readers. Which the company claims would make reading on the device more natural and easier to do. In addition to the new interface, software upgrades are scheduled to be released in the coming weeks, with the first being released next week. The initial update is likely to introduce a navigation bar similar to that found on smartphones to the Amazon Kindle e-book readers. The navigation bar will make navigating across the UI much more convenient and efficient. Users will be able to access quick toggles for the readers. If they swipe down from the top of the screen. These toggles will include controls for adjusting the brightness of the screen. And as well as the ability to toggle Airplane Mode.
A swipe from the bottom of the smartphone will bring up more shortcuts, such as quick access to the Home and Library pages.
According to reports, the second upgrade would concentrate on enhancing the eBook pages themselves. Although a modest change to the Home page will allow readers to browse up to 20 recently opened books at a time. The Library tab will receive new filters, a new collections view, and a scrollbar in the near future. Finding the appropriate book will be quicker and easier with the help of these tools.
Which Kindle devices will be updated?
Users of the Amazon Kindle 8th generation or newer devices, as well as the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 7th generation or newer will get update. And the Kindle Oasis, will be able to download the latest updates through the cloud. Amazon has stated that the first update will be available to devices “over the next few weeks,”. And that the second update will be available “later this year.”
