Loralai University (UOLI) in Balochistan is a role model for others

Loralai University (uoli) in Balochistan has become a role model for all the major public universities in the country

Therefore, they continue to struggle with a tight financial situation. UOLI founded in 2012

However, UOLI is the only public university in the country that is free from the financial crisis because the institute manages its finances with a flawless strategy. 

UOLI has a unique identity therefore, people from all walks of life participate at all levels of the institution.

Moreover, UOLI has also employed a highly qualified lecturer.

As, It created state-of-the-art research facilities to enable research and development at the national level.

On the other hand, universities such as Peshawar University, Punjab University, Turbat University, Balochistan University, Bahadur Khan Women’s University, Balochistan Information Technology University, and BUITEMS Technical and Management Sciences are miles away.

In a recent interview, UOL Vice Chancellor Dr.Maqsood Ahmed said,

“Although the institute is located in a remote area, it is financially independent and relies little on funding from HEC”.

Dr.Maqsood recommends HEC increase funding for all public universities to help them get out of the financial crisis.

On Wednesday, tracking and monitoring of development plans had examined in detail.

ACS Development explained the meeting about current and new development programs, funding, 105 priority programs, PSDP 2021-22 schedule, and PSDP strategy for the next financial year, among others.

He announced to create the conceptual document of the program before PC-I for all development programs.

He also informed the meeting about the district profile, development plans for the past two and a half years, the federal PSDP, and the development package in South Balochistan.

Besides, For better development plan and monitoring the development plan, the Minister’s Supply unit brief the meeting

The participants were: Provincial Ministers Mitha Khan Kakar and Mohamed Khan Toor Utmankhail, Secretary-General, Mathar Niaz Rana, Additional Secretary General of Planning and Development, Abdul Sabur Kakar, Minister of Culture, Minister of Mines and Minerals, Secretary of Animal livestock, Secretary of Information, and CEO of Public Relations, another concern is increasing.
