New information from a Chinese regulatory database suggests that claims that the iPhone 14 Plus included “the biggest battery on an iPhone yet” are just not true. Last year, this database gave the correct battery sizes for the 13-inch iPhone models and the 14-inch.16-inch MacBook Pro laptops.
The source says that with the exception of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. In all iPhone 14 models, everyone has batteries that are a little bit bigger than their predecessors. The iPhone 14 Plus, which has the largest iPhone battery ever, can’t compete with the 13 Pro Max.
iOS 13: iPhone battery capacity:
- 2,406 mAh for iPhone 13 Mini
- 3,227 mAh iPhone 13
- 3,095 mAh for iPhone 13 Pro
- 4,352 mAh iPhone 13 Pro Max
iOS 14: iPhone battery capacity:
- 3,279 mAh for iPhone 14
- 4,325 mAh for the iPhone 14 Plus
- 3,200 mAh for the iPhone 14 Pro
- 4,323 mAh for the iPhone 14 Pro Max
The batteries of the iPhone 14 Plus and 14 Pro Max are nearly the same size, but the Pro Max is expected to be more powerful. This is because of its more power-efficient A16 Bionic chip and its ProMotion display, which lets the screen slow down its refresh rate to only 1Hz to save power.
A slight boost to battery life
Apple advertises that the iPhone 14’s battery will last “all day,” with 29 hours of video playback on the Pro Max and 26 hours on the Plus. Apple claims that the iPhone 14 will be able to play videos for 20 hours, while the iPhone 14 Pro can become able to play videos for 23 hours.

So, the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max must become able to play videos offline for an extra hour than the similar iPhone 13 models. Since last year, we’ve only used a Mini phone with a 2,406 mAh battery. The iPhone 14 Plus has no equivalents.
The 16th of September is when all four versions of the iPhone 14 are then released. But, on October 7, the iPhone 14 Plus can become available to the public.
