Leonardo DiCaprio ‘nearly’ left ‘Titanic’

The temper tantrum that Leonardo DiCaprio threw could cost him the part of Jack Dawson in the movie Titanic.

James Cameron, the director of the film, has revealed that the actor threw a few tantrums while he was being evaluated for the role in the film.

During an interview with GQ, Mr. Cameron disclosed the following: “When Leo walked in, he immediately won over everyone, including myself.” And so I declared, “All right, let’s see how well he gets along with Kate,” and we did just that.

Then, though, he responded with, “Wait, you mean I have to audition by reading?” simply because I am not a reader. As a result, I extended my hand to shake his and thanked him for coming to the audition.”

He said, “Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.” Do you mean that if I don’t read the part, it won’t make sense to me? “Simply in this manner?” The director proceeded further. “And I thought to myself, ‘This is a massive movie that is going to occupy two years of my life, so I’m not going to screw it up by making the incorrect casting decision.’ and I didn’t. Therefore, you are going to read, or else you won’t be considered for the part.'”

Leo got the part in the end after going to all the necessary auditions.
