Richa Chadha apologises for ‘Galwan Says Hi’ tweet criticising Indian Army

She posted on Twitter. Richa, who recently married Ali Fazal, said she didn’t mean to hurt or insult anyone. She discussed her family’s military history.

Her statement read, “Even though it can never be my intention, if the three words being dragged into a controversy have offended or hurt anyone, I apologize.” “It would sadden me if my words, however unintentionally, triggered this feeling in my brothers in the fauj, of which my Nanaji was an illustrious member. “Her grandfather, a Lt. Col., was shot in the leg in the 1960s Indo-China conflict.

“My Mamaji was a paratrooper,” she added. It’s genetic. When a son is slain or injured while saving our nation, the whole family is impacted. I know how it feels. I’m emotional about it. See:
Richa penned “Galwan Say Hi” when Lt. General Upendra Dwivedi said the Indian Army is ready to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Netizens and politicians criticised her after she tweeted. It was deemed “shameful” and “disgraceful.” Some have requested that the Mumbai Police file an FIR against her.
