King Charles cries when he thinks of Prince William’s darkest moment

According to a royal biographer, King Charles III regrets one decision regarding his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

Knowing you’ll make mistakes is one of the hardest parts of parenting, even if you’re royal.

Christopher Andersen wrote in The King: The Life of Charles III about a moment the new king wishes he could change.

The royal biographer told Us Weekly that he believes the monarch regrets having his two sons carry Princess Diana’s casket during her funeral. “I suppose he’s haunted because they’ve discussed it.”

Anderson: “I think it’s PTSD.”

He feels the Duke of Sussex, who relocated to the US and settled in Montecito with his wife Meghan Markle and two kids, Archie and Lilibet, still gets apprehensive about travelling into London because of that day.

Prince Harry stated that being in London “reminds him of the day he had to walk behind Diana’s coffin, when the palace forced them into doing it.”

Charles, Diana’s brother, said he felt duped and regrets it. He called it “a tunnel of anguish.”

William was 15 and Harry was 12 when their mother died. The two young royals had to face their sadness in public, which was tragic enough.

“William and Harry probably wondered, “Who are these people who have never met her?” Anderson suggested. So they were upset, and Charles recognises that he’s partly to blame for their suffering.
