Queen Elizabeth II sought to help Prince Harry and Meghan Markle before they left. Andrew Morton says on Pod Save the King that the queen intended to move to New Zealand.
“In November 2018, six months after they were married, Harry and Oprah were in a London hotel.
“They considered a different path early on.” Prince Harry was named Youth Ambassador to the Commonwealth and given the keys to the first-class lounge.
“This was the Queen’s way of saying, “You do the rest of the world; allow William and Catherine to tackle the UK.”
Morton stated, “They thought about living in New Zealand and spoke to the prime minister about it.” “They had all kinds of future plans.”
“I think Prince Harry saw Meghan as a way out since he’s charismatic but hates being a prince.” They didn’t have to leave the Royal Family, but they did.
