Jessica Chastain raises awareness about Irani ‘Women-Led Revolution’ protests

Actress Jessica Chastain has spoken out in support of the Irani ‘women-led revolution’ protests taking place in country. She is calling it very vital for her to bring attention to the continuing protests there.

The ‘Good Nurse’ star used Twitter to bring attention to the September killing of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini by the country’s morality police. She was not wearing her hijab properly and she is reportedly keeping a close eye on the ongoing reaction to the shocking incident. It has prompted waves of women to cut their hair or shed their head coverings in protest.

She said, “It’s incredibly essential for me to utilize my position to elevate anyone’s battle for freedom, peace, and safety. I find the current situation in Iran to be really upsetting. My thoughts and prayers are with the girls and I am keeping up with the story as closely as possible.”

Jessica Chastain further applauded the Irani women’s courage and amazing deeds during their protests. It’s a revolution head by women and she believe in them so strongly that she want to shower them with encouragement, love and power.

In her latest film, ‘The Good Nurse’, Chastain plays nurse Amy Loughren. Whereas, she becomes detective after learning that a coworker is responsible for the deaths of scores of patients at nine different hospitals over the course of 16 years. The actress’s motivation for doing the biopic was her desire to amplify the experiences of women.
