Facebook wants to reopen Offices in Pakistan

It did suggest that Facebook reopen offices in Pakistan so that it can compete with countries like India. Pakistani authorities it has done contacted Facebook and did ask for a visit from Facebook representatives.

After meeting with Meta representatives in Romania, Federal Minister for IT Syed Aminul Haq extended the invitation. At the International Telecommunication Union Ministerial Conference. 186 ministerial delegations from all over the world came to the European country (ITU PP-22). The summit did happen in Bucharest, Romania.

The IT Minister told everyone there that Pakistan has more than 40 million Facebook users and that number is likely to rise over the next few years. Employees at Meta became happy to hear that the internet became growing in Pakistan. They pointed out that the number of people using Facebook in Pakistan has grown a lot over the past few years.

The IT Minister of Pakistan took the opportunity to invite Facebook to set up shop in the country. The social media giant has said it will send representatives to the country soon.

It’s important to remember that this sort of thing has did happen before. Earlier this year, it said that Facebook executives met with FIA Director Humayun Bashir to discuss opening local offices in Pakistan.

According to reports, the session lasts more than 3.5 hours and covered a wide range of topics between two parties. As in other South Asian countries like India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. The Director did emphasis how important it is for Facebook to establish a local presence in Pakistan.

At first, there are now rumors that Facebook going to reopen offices in Pakistan. But the FIA has since denied those rumors. Later that day, the agency issued a statement saying that all of these rumors are indeed false and is not confirmed.
