85% of the Pakistani sellers on Alibaba are from Sialkot

Sialkot is the city that accounts for 85 % of all Pakistani sellers on Alibaba. Sialkot is important to Pakistan’s economy because it is where a big chunk of the country’s annual exports come from. People all over the world know this city for its high-quality leather goods, sports equipment, and medical devices.

The Sialkot Economy and Commerce Centre says that more than 400,000 people work in the city’s export business. Which brings in more than $2 billion a year for the national exchequer (SBCC).

Business Growth Manager for Alibaba in Pakistan, Muhammad Sadiq, said that most Pakistani sellers on the Chinese international platform are from the city of Sialkot. Sadiq get an aha moment when he asked where to find merchants like that.

Sadiq said at an Alibaba merchant summit that Sialkot is home to 85% of all Pakistani sellers who use Alibaba. He told us about this.

About 3.2 million of Alibaba’s listings became made by people in Pakistan. The sellers in this group are from Pakistan. 63% of all listings are in the category that includes both garments and clothing. Aside from these categories, the rest of the listings can be further broken down into sports and entertainment, health and medicine, tools and hardware, and minerals.

Song Song, who is in charge of Alibaba in Pakistan, also spoke at the event. Through a video chat, Song told her the news. He thinks that the B2B e-commerce market in Pakistan will grow at a rate of 28% per year for the next three years.

Song, on the other hand, brought up the fact that only 3.3% of all sellers on Alibaba are in Karachi. He told business leaders in the country’s commercial hub to work hard over the next three years to change the way things are.
