One of the radio show’s hosts tweeted a strange message late Tuesday. Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God, and DJ Envy tweeted, “The breakfast club is over.”
Not clear. Neither of her co-hosts reacted by 11 p.m. Tuesday, the show’s Twitter page was silent.
The Breakfast Club has aired since 2010 on Hot 97 and is syndicated and webcast by iHeart Media. iHeart announced in late 2020 that Charlamagne had inked a new five-year deal to continue as host and to become the company’s senior creative officer of culture content and programming. His arrangement included launching the Black Effect Podcast Network for Black podcasters.
DJ Envy’s contract ends when? Yee said she was working on the show without a contract in a May podcast.
In recent years, all three hosts have shifted their brands. Charlamagne also presents Comedy Central’s “God’s Honest Truth” DJ Envy is a real estate businessman who offers workshops on his ideas, and Yee hosts the Apple Podcast “Lip Service.”
