First national digital pilot census complete in Pakistan

After the first digital pilot census in Pakistan is done, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) and the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) will be asked to write a proposal that will be sent to the Council of Common Interest (CII) and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to prepare them for the first digital census of Pakistan in 2023. This is going to happen before the next national election.

Planning, building, and special projects. This order came from Minister of the Federation Ahsan Iqbal. On Wednesday, Iqbal was in charge of a meeting at which the Director General of NADRA and the Chief Statistician of the PBS were also present. Iqbal was the one who gave these orders.

The Chief Statistician told Minister Iqbal that there were no problems during the digital pilot census. The second group will learn more about the topic the following week.

When asked when Pakistan will get the first shipment of equipment for the census. The Director General of the National Database and Registration Authority (DG NADRA) said that it would arrive on August 20 from China. After that, he said, the people who needed to get census training would get it.

When the minister gave this order, the officials became told to check the training on their own. And to include professors and students in the process. The minister also suggested that college students be a part of the conversation.

To make it simpler for the ECP to conduct elections. He also requested that a new voter list become created by July 1, 2023.
