The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) Electricity Provider is getting ready to go digital, just like WAPDA in Pakistan. Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan is the Managing Director. He confirmed this by saying that NTDC is giving them the internal resources they need to do this.
Khan told the news at the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) launch party. He said that the main goal of the Electricity Provider company’s digital transformation is to make operational processes run more smoothly. This change is already going on for three years, and also it’s almost over. The company hopes to complete the project in 18 months.
“Khan said:
The ERP launch has finally begun. The project will be done in 18 months, and also it is now moving into the “execution” phase.
He also said that the NTDC has put more resources than ever before into a single project in an effort to make the business run more smoothly.
I expect everyone here to do their part, and feel like they own the work they do here. And help out where they can. The people in charge of this project will keep a close eye on it and help the project team in any way they can.

Siemens Pakistan will design, build, supply, and start up the hardware for this project. The World Bank is in charge of the financing for the project.
The details of the project are at best vague, but it seems likely that it will make the business run more smoothly and faster. The end customer may also benefit, but this isn’t sure.
