Even though Instagram reversed its TikTok-style facelift and cut back on the constant stream of suggestions, recommended content will still show up in your feed and profile. For 30 days, you can turn off Instagram suggestions and also suggested posts in your main feed. Hallelujah! The best part is that it only takes a few touches.
Tips and tricks on how to stop Instagram feeds for 30 days
- Look at your Instagram feed to see if anyone has suggested a post to you. Because you’ve seen a reel from ” or “because you’re following,” you’re likely to see these messages.
- Tap the X in the top right corner. If you click it, you’ll see a secret post message. Let us not forget, my friends, that we’ve only just begun. The fewer of them there are, the better.
- To put all of the suggested posts in the feed on hold for 30 days. Choose the option from the drop-down menu.
- A green checkmark will appear after that, indicating that recommend posts will no longer appear in your news feed for the following 30 days.
