One More New Twist in the Elon Musk-Twitter Saga

When Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, decided to back out of Twitter’s $44 billion acquisition attempt, the social media giant Twitter almost always sues Musk. Twitter has told them to leave up the date of their trial. But Musk doesn’t want that to happen and wants to block the company.

According to records filed with the Delaware Chancery Court. The lawyers for Tesla CEO Elon Musk have said that Twitter made an “unjustifiable request” for a faster trial. People say that Twitter wants to “get ahead of the game.” This is because Twitter merged in just two months.

Because the deadline for the merger agreement is October 25. Twitter is trying to get the trial to start in September instead of October to avoid this problem. Elon Musk says that Twitter lied to the public about how many fake and spam accounts it had, which is the main reason why he decided to back out of the deal.

When Twitter asked for a trial, he made the following statement in response:

Twitter’s sudden demand for warp speed comes after two months of the social media platform dragging its feet and hiding the facts of spam accounts for long enough to scare defendants into closing their accounts.

They said that the debate over spam accounts is essential to the value of Twitter. Because this effort needs many workers, getting an accurate number will take a while. Because of this, the lawyers want the trial to take place in February 2023 after all.
