Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck married Saturday, according to a Nevada marriage license. The couple, who dated and became engaged in the early 2000s, revived their romance last year.
Sunday’s J Lo newsletter said, “We did it.” According to the account, the pair flew to Vegas and arrived at the chapel before midnight.
“Behind us, two men embraced. In front of us was a young couple from Victorville who drove three hours on their daughter’s second birthday. We all wanted the same thing: to be recognized as partners and to profess our love via the ancient and universal symbol of marriage.”
The pair got a Nevada marriage license on July 16. Benjamin Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were licensed.
“It was our dream wedding,” they stated. “A dream realized”
“With the best witnesses you could imagine, a dress from an old movie, and Ben’s jacket, we read our own vows in the modest church and exchanged rings,” the newsletter said.
Lopez and Affleck met on “Gigli” in 2002, Vulture reports.
In 2002, “Bennifer,” as they’re known in Hollywood, were engaged. Lopez announced their split in 2004.
During their 20-year separation, they dated and married other celebrities. In 2004, Lopez married Marc Anthony. The couple married in 2005.
Lopez is engaged to former New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, and Affleck dated Ana de Armas. 2021 ended both relationships.
Lopez and Affleck reengaged on April 8. “Love is a fantastic thing,” the pair wrote Sunday. “It’s worth waiting for.”
