Elon Musk wants a Twitter trial until February 2023

Twitter sued Elon Musk, and his lawyers have responded by saying that the company wants a trial to happen too quickly. Bloomberg reports that Elon Musk’s legal team wants to postpone the case until 2019.

The “presumptive drop-dead date” for Musk and Twitter’s merger deal is October 24. This is why Twitter needs to speed up the trial. Musk’s legal team wants the trial postponed until February 13, 2023. Twitter’s first lawsuit Tuesday, but the business didn’t comment.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk after he officially tried to back out of a $44 billion deal to buy the company. Bret Taylor, the chairman of Twitter’s board of directors, said the company will sue Musk soon after he said he was going to do it. And on Tuesday, the company did just that. Musk tweeted on Tuesday, but he didn’t give a response to the court until Friday.

After months of trying to buy Twitter, Elon Musk has finally decided to give up.
In a letter from his lawyers last week, he said that Twitter hasn’t given him the information. He needs to make an independent assessment of the number of fake or spam accounts on Twitter’s platform. In Friday’s petition, his team brought up the bots problem again and said that “The main fight over fake and spam accounts is important to the value of Twitter. Because of this, this investigation takes a lot of time and work.”

Bloomberg and Reuters say that the trial date will be decided at a 90-minute hearing on July 19 at 11 a.m.
