The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has decided that Rawalakot will be home to an IT (information technology) excellence center. The AJK IT Board has already bought space for the excellence center. Right now, the board is working to finish making the arrangements needed for the center to open.
Representatives of the AJK IT Board said that the IT excellence center in Rawalakot is a project that the AJK government. And the AJK IT Board is working together. The main goal of this project is to improve digital education in the AJK region as a whole. This center will help promote activities related to information technology (IT) and help IT experts in AJK improve their skills.
In an interview with the News agency, Dr. Khalid, who is the Director-General of the IT Board, said that 800 students are always trained over the next three years. IT students will at first be able to take classes in Web Design and Development. User Interface and User Experience Design, Digital Marketing, E-commerce, Cyber Security. Mobile App Design and Development, as well as User Interface Design and Design for the User Experience. In the future, the curriculum will also include classes that focus on current technology.
He also said that there won’t be any fees to take classes at the center and that classes will start in August. Online registration for the first group of students has started, and the last day to sign up is July 24. Including any lab work that needs fixing, each lesson will take a total of four hours. Classes are available five days a week.
