In a post on Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, said that soon WhatsApp users will be able to respond to conversations with any emoji they want. In a blog post, the CEO of WhatsApp said that the company was “rolling out the option to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp”. He then listed a few of his favorites. This happened just a few months after WhatsApp made it possible to respond with only six different emojis.
Long-pressing the message to which you want to reply gives you access to this feature. Just like it did for the previous emoji responses. This action brings up a menu with seven emoji reactions. The same six as before and a brand new one with a plus sign. When you tap the plus sign, a list of all the emojis you can use will appear.
This includes both the smiley faces that have been around for a long time and newer ones like the saluting face and the melting face. This menu will also have a number of different skin tones. I have a sneaking suspicion that people will soon start responding to emojis with a lot of creativity.

In the past, you could find the expanded emoji reaction feature in beta versions of the service, both on iOS and Android. With this change, WhatsApp will be able to do the same things that Meta’s Messenger service can already do. The functionality that allows people to react to messages with larger emojis is now available. And all WhatsApp users will be able to use it in the coming weeks.
