US Secret Service chief is now hired at Snap

Snap confirmed on Thursday that Secret Service Director James Murray will be leaving his job. At the end of the month to become the company’s top security officer.

Murray’s move to the private sector was first reported by The Washington Post on Thursday. Just after the Secret Service confirmed in a public statement that the longtime protection service official had resigned. In his new role as CEO and co-founder of Snap, Murray will report directly to Evan Spiegel. Who is also the CEO and co-founder of the company!

In a statement, Pete Boogaard, a spokesperson for Snap, said, “We’re happy to welcome Jim Murray to Snap and look forward to having him join our team on August 1st.

We are excited that US Secret Service chief JIM MURRAY is coming to SNAP.
Snap’s new security officer, Murray will work with law enforcement. When necessary to make sure the safety of Snap employees, the company said.

In a statement released Thursday, the Secret Service praised Murray’s work in dealing with “the unique challenges presented by the historic COVID-19 pandemic”. While carrying out the agency’s “integrated mission of protecting high-level elected officials and looking into crimes that target our financial infrastructure”.

The CIA makes sure that Presidents, their families, and also other high-ranking US leaders are safe. In the last few weeks, Secret Service agents have been brought into the House’s investigation of the January 6 rioting at the US Capitol.

President Joe Biden said on Thursday, “Jim represents the idea of service over self. And also he protected the families of US presidents as if they were his own.” We owe him a huge debt of gratitude for what he has done for us and for our country.
