Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued an order to the relevant authorities warning them against carrying out loadshedding over the Eid ul Azha celebrations.
The recent directions from the prime minister Shehbaz Sharif came a day after Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir announced the day before that loadshedding will continue on Eid ul Azha.
Distribution companies have been contacted by the Ministry of Energy in response to directions from the Prime Minister to provide information on their power generation and usage over the Eid holidays.
They stated that “Directives have been issued to supply appropriate fuel and gas to all power generation firms.” They went on to say that concerned Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Wapda power businesses will be accountable for maintaining an uninterrupted power supply during the days of Eidul Azha.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave instructions to the relevant authorities to take immediate action in order to restart the power plants that had previously been shut down.
During the course of a crucial conference to find a solution to the energy crisis, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave directions. In addition to this, he asked for a report that would detail the specific reasons why the country experiences power outages.
