The Rhode skincare brand that Hailey Bieber launched earlier this month has sued for trademark infringement. Rhode, Hailey’s skincare line’s moniker, was reportedly sued by a 9-year-old fashion firm.
Lawsuit has filed by Purna Khatau and Phoebe Vickers in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. It claims that the model Hailey Bieber has infringement on their trademark by marketing a Rhode skincare line.
Rhode has founded in May 2013 by Khatau and Vickers. It has committed ourselves to creating and nurturing the Rhode brand through great personal sacrifice and struggle.
Celebrities like Beyonce, Rihanna and Mindy Kaling have all spotted in it. Its making it a well known name in the fashion industry. According to the complaint, Rhode has slated to earn $14.5 million this year.
Her husband Justin Bieber has accused in the complaint of marketing Hailey’s company and garnering 1.5 million likes on a single post. When Hailey tried to acquire the rights to the name from them four years ago, the co-founders say they turned them down.
It’s not a good thing that Hailey has focused on beauty care while we’re focusing on fashion. As a component of a wider beauty business, fashion and cosmetics frequently combine.
