The first unreleased song of late Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala will be released today. Moose Wala’s crew stated on Facebook that ‘SYL’ will be uploaded on his YouTube account at 6pm.
The singer’s team shared the song’s cover. After the singer’s death on May 29, his team asked music businesses and producers for his unreleased songs.
Moos Wala wrote and sang the song on the Sutlej Yamuna Link canal (SYL Song). The lyrics highlight Punjab’s river rights and Sikh prisoners.
Sidhu Moose Wala ‘found success in Brampton’. People linked with the song say the lyrics mention Balwinder Singh Jattana, a pro-Khalistan militant with Babbar Khalsa who assassinated officials discussing the canal in a Chandigarh office in 1990.
After Sangrur’s by-election, the song will be released.
The song leaked and circulated on social media. Moose Wala’s family asked music producers not to distribute unfinished tracks.
After this song, Moose Wala’s father, Balkaur Singh, would decide on his unreleased works. Moose Wala had completed the audio recording of ‘SYL’ and was conceptualizing the video shoot when he was shot on May 29.
