Windows 11 will let you know which apps are keeping an eye on you

People have been very critical of Windows 11 for not having enough privacy protections, now Windows 11 is keeping an eye on you. Microsoft has already fixed these problems in earlier versions of Windows, so we can breathe a sigh of relief. We can also expect that Windows 11 will soon get a helpful new privacy feature as well.

Windows 10 features a new privacy feature. This tool will let you see which of your programs are using your webcam or microphone. With this, you’ll be able to keep an eye on any suspicious apps that shouldn’t be able to use your microphone or camera.

Privacy Auditing is the name of the program that Microsoft’s Vice President of Enterprise. Operating System Security, David Weston, showed off on Twitter. The functionality is now available in a new preview version of Windows 11, It is keeping eye on you.

Have a peek.

Settings > Privacy and security > The new feature may be in your device’s App Permissions. It gives you a report of what you’ve done recently and a list of the apps that have used your camera or microphone in the past week. Also keeps track of which apps have access to your contact list and other sensitive information. Such as your location and the history of your phone calls.

It also tells you the exact time and date that your programs talked to your hardware. Since the feature is still being tested, it is not clear when it will be made available to users in every part of the world. In any case, we will keep this section up to date.
