Oscars winner filmmaker Paul Haggis detained for sexual assault in Italy

According to sources, the two times Oscar-winning filmmaker Paul Haggis has detained on June 19 in Italy. He has charged with the allegations of sexual assault and serious personal harm.

In Ostuni, Haggis reportedly coerced a young foreign lady into having sex with him over the course of two days. Whereas, he took her to an airport and abandoned her there at daybreak.

The accused victim has treated according to Italy’s pink procedure for rape victims by airport workers and police before brought to a hospital. Whereas, she decided to take legal action against Haggis.

From June 21 to June 26, the Canadian director and screenwriter came in Ostumi to teach master courses at Allora Fest. Paul Haggis has detained into jail for suspected sexual assault. The event organisers have received with dismay and astonishment the news and immediately moved to eliminate any involvement of the filmmaker from the event.
