Netflix Inc. made the announcement on Sunday that the global megahit “Squid Game” will be returning for a second season, while also dropping a few hints about what may happen next in the macabre Korean thriller.
After its premiere in September of 2021, “Squid Game” quickly rose to the position of Netflix’s most-watched original series. The show chronicles the stories of competitors who are desperate for money and play games from their youth for the chance to win life-changing sums of money.
It spawned a large number of memes and Halloween costumes, and it got people interested in purchasing green tracksuits.

In a letter that was made public by Netflix, the show’s creator and director, Hwang Dong-hyuk, provided a few hints regarding the upcoming second season of the show.
Characters According to him, Gi-hun and The Front Man would make a comeback, and he also mentioned that “the man in the suit with ddakji might be returning.”
“You’ll also meet Young-lover,” hee’s he continued, “so get ready for that.”
One of the games includes Young-hee, a motion-sensing animatronic doll, as a playable character. Netflix did not provide any information regarding the release date of the next season.
