Aamir Liaqat Hussain, a TV presenter known for stirring up controversy, passed away at the age of 49 in a hospital in Karachi.
A news station said that he was checked into the hospital about a quarter of an hour ago. He was transported to the hospital in a much worse state than when he was originally brought there.
Aamir Liaquat Hussain was at one time Pakistan’s most prominent news anchor on television. Due to the provocative statements that he had made about superstars, he had received numerous criticisms from the media.
Between the months of August 2018 and October 2021, when he tendered his resignation from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, he served as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan.
Before that, he was a member of the National Assembly from 2002 until 2007, during which time he also held the position of Minister of State for Religious Affairs in the federal cabinet led by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz from 2004 until 2007.
Hussain has been married three times in total. It was with his first wife, Syeda Bushra Aamir, that he was blessed with two children. On the other hand, in June of 2018, he announced that he had married Syeda Tuba Anwar for the second time. This union lasted for something in the neighborhood of three years.
In February 2022, Amir wed Syeda Dania Shah, who was only 18 years old at the time. After only three months of marriage to Mr. Hussain, his third wife Syeda Dania Shah filed for divorce in May 2022.
