During a meeting that was held on the orders of the Sindh High Court (SHC), it was reported that Dua Zahra, the teenager who had mysteriously gone missing from Karachi in April but later declared that she had run away from her home to marry 21-year-old Zaheer Ahmed, told her mother that she wants to come home. Zaheer Ahmed is three years older than Dua Zahra.
On Monday, Dua disobeyed her parents’ request to meet with them. More than one and a half months after her unexplained disappearance, she was brought in front of the Supreme Court of Canada for the very first time when she was found by the police in the province of Punjab.
Following the ossification test, the police brought Dua and her husband Zaheer before the court today. This was done in accordance with the court’s directives that were handed down during the most recent hearing.
However, according to her mother, Dua expressed her desire to return home during a discussion that took place in the chamber of a court.
“During the meeting, my kid voiced that she wishes we could go home. Dua has indicated that she will provide her testimony in court “the mother stated, adding that the law enforcement officials did not bring her daughter before the judge and instead transported her to a safe house.
At the hearing that took place today, Justice Junaid Ghaffar gave Dua’s parents permission to visit their daughter for ten minutes.
“You can meet her. We will issue an order today, in addition to scheduling a meeting in the boardroom, “the judge remarked.
Following the conclusion of the discussion, Dua’s mother asserted that her daughter had communicated during the discussion her desire to return home.
