Advocate Attaullah Niazi, a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), initially threatened to carry out a suicide attack in the event that anything happened to former Prime Minister Imran Khan. However, Niazi has since retracted his statement and stated that “we don’t have any explosives or suicide jacket.”
Niazi stated, in a video that is currently making the rounds on social media, that everything he said was regarding the possibility of Imran Khan being arrested and the loss that it would create.
The Member of the National Assembly (MNA) stated, “What I meant was that if you [the government] compel us, we will burn all of our boats and will not think about ourselves after it.”
“God forbid, we don’t have any explosive material or suicide jackets, so you take it wrong and claim that they [members of the PTI] are going to carry out a suicide attack,” he said. “You take it wrong and say that they [members of the PTI] are about to carry out a suicide attack.”
Niazi continued by saying that their government and the supporters of the PTI were responsible for the destruction of all of their boats as he was addressing Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Niazi issued a warning to the coalition government on Monday, stating that he “would carry out a suicide strike” in the event that something were to happen to the Chairman of the PTI, Imran Khan.
Attaullah claimed in a video statement that he would not spare those governing the country or their children if they tried to hurt Khan. He added that he would not spare those who were ruling the country.
“There are thousands of more suicide bombers, like me, ready to blow themselves up [if something happens to Khan],” he added. “If anything happens to Khan, we will all blow ourselves up together.”
