The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) announced that Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has appointed to the position of Ambassador to Pakistan. In his new role, the actor will represent the UNDP and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Pakistan.
According to sources, the signing ceremony for the agreement between Fawad Khan and the UNDP took place in Islamabad. Whereas, in attendance at the event were the UNDP Pakistan Resident Representative, the Deputy Resident Representative, the Head of Communication Unit and UNDP. Green Social Entrepreneurs were also present there.
The ceremony got underway with Master Ostby and Fawad Khan putting their signatures on a document together. Fawad Khan stated that he is happy to have Pakistan serve as UNDP goodwill ambassador. They may raise awareness and accomplish their goals.
The actor rose to stardom thanks to the programme Humsafar and who has also presented Bollywood blockbusters. Moreover, he will now act as a spokesperson for the United Nations Charter and the Sustainable Development Goals. Urdu narration for the documentary on the UNDP has provided by Fawad Khan.
