Before the platinum jubilee celebrations begin this week, Queen Elizabeth made her way to Windsor from Balmoral Castle. She spent a few days relaxing before heading to Windsor for the festivities. It has reported that the monarch’s return to London has hampered by a storm. However, her 13-seater plane eventually landed safely.
The Queen Elizabeth has just returned to Windsor Castle from a brief holiday in Balmoral. Whereas, she was preparing for the four-day platinum jubilee celebration. It will culminate with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Parade on the Thames. There will be more than 1,500 military soldiers and 350 horses from the Household Division participating in the customary Trooping the Colour event.
Buckingham Palace has slated to host a ceremonial flypast with members of the Royal Family for the 96-year-old queen. On Lilibet Diana’s first birthday, June 4, Queen Elizabeth is due to see her grandchild for the first time.
In honour of the Queen, artist Ed Sheeran will perform a rendition of his love song Perfect during this weekend’s ceremonies. During the performance, images of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip will show on the screen. Moreover, Stonehenge has illuminated with pictures of the Queen in commemoration of her platinum jubilee.
