PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry stated on Tuesday that his party is collecting videos of party workers being “tortured” during the “Azadi March” in order to send them to the United Nations and other human rights organizations. Chaudhry made this statement in response to a question about what the PTI is doing to collect these videos.
In a news conference where he was joined by PTI leader Hammad Azhar, the ex-information minister stated that male police personnel invaded the apartments of party leaders and “acted inappropriately” with women.
“We are compiling video evidence of the incidents, and we intend to bring this matter up in international forums. This level of savagery was rarely seen even during the reign of the most ruthless dictators “the leader of the PTI stated.
However, PTI Chairman Imran Khan confessed a day earlier that the demonstrators that joined him during the “Azadi March” were carrying guns with them, despite the fact that he has been making continual assertions that the “Azadi March” was a peaceful march towards the federal capital.
During an interview with a private television channel, the former prime minister discussed the “Azadi March” organized by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the clashes that broke out between members of the PTI and the police. He stated that, in his opinion, the country would have descended into anarchy had the march continued, given that three people had already been killed.
Khan stated that “there was already hate among the people due to searches carried out by the Punjab Police on PTI lawmakers’ houses a day before the march,” and that “he was 100 percent convinced that the scenario would escalate to mayhem.”
