PM Shehbaz Sharif announces relief package of Rs 28bn on increase in petrol price

As a result of the decision to raise the cost of petroleum goods by Rs30, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Friday that the government will launch an Rs28 billion package to provide relief to the general population.

In his address to the people of the country, the Prime Minister stated that taking on the challenge of coming into power was not an easy task because the situation in the country was bleak, and the people of the country were tormented with hostility throughout the time of the previous government.

He remarked, “I would like to thank my leader Nawaz Sharif and the leaders of our supported parties for trusting me with this post.” “I would also like to thank the people of Pakistan.”

Shehbaz Sharif, the current Prime Minister of Pakistan, criticized the previous government, which was run by the PTI, as well as the former Prime Minister Imran Khan. He stated that “it was the demand of the people of Pakistan to free them of the previous incompetent and corrupt government.”

Despite the fact that both the National Security Committee (NSC) and the ambassador to the United States have debunked the “foreign conspiracy” claims that were made by former Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Shehbaz Sharif, stated that a diplomatic cable was used for political means and that the nation was fed with lies.

If Khan believes that his “ego” is more important than the state, then he is under the impression that Pakistan would function in accordance with the Constitution rather than on the basis of following the direction of a single individual, as the PM Shehbaz stated.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has refused to recognize the newly elected government and has frequently pointed the finger of blame at the United States for supporting the motion of no confidence that led to his removal from office.

Imran Khan alleged that the United States Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, had sent a warning to Pakistan’s envoy in order to convince them to remove their current administration.

“Dharnas were held by this individual during a time when Pakistan was making progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. At that time, Chinese President Xi Jinping was required to visit Pakistan; however, the agreement that was supposed to take place during his visit was postponed as a result of his haughtiness.”

The Prime Minister emphasized that the current government was responsible for the safety and security of the nation and that they would make no concessions in this area under any circumstances.
