Former Indian cricketer and television celebrity Navjot Singh Sidhu become clerk in the jail

Famous Indian politician from the opposition party Congress, Navjot Singh Sidhu will work as a clerk in the jail. He is a prominent former player of Indian cricket team as well as television personality. He has appeared in well-known ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ for a long time.

As a result of safety concerns, it has reported that Navjot Sidhu will work as clerk from the confines of his own jail barracks. As a result of this, his paperwork will also send to his barracks. Following the process of categorization, each criminal receives a daily wage that ranges from 30 to 90 Indian rupees. The wages have deposited into their own bank accounts.

It should note that the Indian Supreme Court has recently rendered a decision in the 34-year-old Road Rage case. It dealt with the death of a person who has murdered in a road brawl. As a result of this decision, Sidhu has given a term of one year in jail in addition to a fine.

Gurnam Singh has killed in 1988 when Navjot Singh and an accomplice took him out of a car while they were arguing on the road about a parking conflict and then beat him to death. The altercation led to the victim’s murder. A legal complaint had lodged against Sidhu by the family.

The Indian Supreme Court acquitted him and his accomplice in 1999 on the grounds that there was insufficient evidence. However, the decision has later challenged in the Punjab and Haryana High Courts. Whereas, the courts found Sidhu guilty and sentenced him to three years in prison for the crime.
