Lal Haveli, the residence of former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, was raided by the police in the early hours of Tuesday morning in advance of the PTI’s Azadi March.
Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, the leader of the Awami Muslim League and a former interior minister, and Sheikh Rashid Shafiq were both taken into custody after a raid on Lal Haveli that took place last night.
The video shows a large number of police officers encircling Sheikh Rasheed’s Lal Haveli in an attempt to arrest the leader of the Awami Muslim League, however, they are unsuccessful in their mission.
Earlier, Sheikh Rasheed said in a statement that four vehicles bearing government number plates had been stationed outside of his mansion in Lal Haveli in preparation for the PTI’s lengthy march to Islamabad.
He asserted that members of the police force who were not wearing uniforms were stationed alongside the car there.
The former minister of the interior has stated that he does not worry about being taken into custody. On the call of Imran Khan, I will not risk being detained, and I will do all in my power to get on time to the place for the march in Islamabad on May 25.
