According to Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, getting the part of Pete “Maverick” in ‘Top Gun’ was his life-changing role. He has always wanted to be a pilot or actor. The opportunity to combine the two in one picture was exciting for him as a child.
It was an important event in many ways for the 59-year-old actor. It is including his enthusiasm for flying because he said that all I ever wanted to be was a pilot or an actor. Tom Cruise went on to say that this role is life-changing for me. It was a dream come true to fly an F-14 fighter.
In ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ the newest instalment of the popular series, he performed more air feats than ever before. Cruise stated, “the P-51 Mustang you see in the movie is really my jet, so I got to pilot in those parts. This time around, I was able to spend more time in the cockpit of the jet fighter, which was a lot of fun. It was something I’d been striving toward for a long time.”
In the sequel to the 1986 action-drama, Oscar-winning Lady GaGa made the epic music. He said, “I had witnessed one of Lady GaGa’s gigs in Las Vegas and thrilled.” He added of how the pop megastar came to record the song. The music she sent us sounded just like her. It’s basically the lifeblood of the score.”
