US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken calls Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said he received a call from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

In a Twitter statement, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his gratitude for the heartfelt congratulations he received from US State Secretary Antony Blinken on his appointment as the Foreign minister.

Bilawal and Blinken discussed ways to deepen the mutually beneficial and broad-based partnership that exists between Pakistan and the United States of America. They also talked about the importance of promoting peace, growth, and security.

They came to the conclusion that dialogue based on mutual respect is the best path forward for both countries.

Following the attack on Karachi University last month, which came amid a spike in such attacks across the country, the United States Department of State’s spokesman, Ned Price, said in a statement on Wednesday that the United States will continue to cooperate with Pakistan on counterterrorism and border security and reiterated Washington’s condemnation of the attack.

“We place a high priority on our bilateral partnership. We want to continue to collaborate in areas where we have common interests with our Pakistani allies, such as in the fight against terrorism. This includes counter-terrorist operations. Ned Price, a spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security, stated during his regular news conference that border security was included.

According to the official, the United States was reviewing a suspension of security assistance to Islamabad imposed by the former Trump administration following a terrorist attack in Karachi, and this was in response to a question about whether such attacks emanated from Afghanistan were on the rise across Pakistan.

The terrorist attack on Karachi University in Pakistan was harshly condemned by the United States. We are reiterating our condemnation of the situation today. According to a spokesperson for the State Department, “a terrorist assault anywhere is an affront to humanity everywhere.”

A terrorist attack on an educational institution, religious site, or one of the other locations that have been targeted recently, however, is a “real affront to mankind,” according to the president.

Following the incident, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a banned militant organization, claimed responsibility. The attack claimed the lives of three Chinese teachers as well as their Pakistani driver.
